Maryland Judge dismisses a $4.3 million lawsuit against Ethiopian church board
The Daily Record: A Baltimore County judge has dismissed lawsuit filed by more than 100 former members of an Ethiopian church against its board of trustees after the plaintiffs failed to respond to discovery requests.

The trial involving Ethiopian Evangelical Church was scheduled for Monday in Baltimore County Circuit Court. But Judge Thomas J. Bollinger Sr. dismissed the case Friday at the request of the defendants’ lawyer.
“There are 116 unidentified plaintiffs in this case,” Erika E. Cole wrote. “In order to be prepared for trial, the defendants must determine who is suing them and on what basis.”
Plaintiffs’ attorney Matthew W. Hurd, of Hartel, Kane, DeSantis, MacDonald & Howie LLP in Beltsville, could not be reached for comment.
The suit, filed last year, alleged the Liberty Road church’s seven-member board of trustees changed the status of the church’s religious corporation from a nonprofit to a religious entity in January 2008, giving themselves more power, without consulting the congregation. The board fired Pastor Daniel Berhanu soon after that, the lawsuit said.
The board countered that the change was lawful and that the pastor’s firing was purely a religious matter, not subject to government intervention.
Berhanu and other ex-church members have moved to another congregation, according to court documents. Ethiopian Evangelical remains open and will celebrate the case’s conclusion during services Sunday, said Cole, an Owings Mills solo practitioner.
“The church continued to do the work of the ministry rather than suspend it during litigation,” she said.

I see a great move of God .He knows who is a deceiver and chitter and who denies his power. the pastor did all this things besides he lies a lot as if He has planted more than 50 churches in Ethiopia and as If He bought this church. But to tell you the truth He married an Ethiopian woman because He wants to come here and the Board bought this church before He become a pastor of the church. He and His wife and some not more than 20 People signed but He and His wife signed many times to say 116 people have signed it. and there are many who are with him with plenty of records of immigration and non Christians and other things.Why don't you ask the Ethiopian Orthodox church Who he was and what his plan is 
Dear SirsThank you and God bless you for letting us to put our view here.As all of us know in the beginning it seemed that the pastor was not deceiving even the known pastors like pas. Hanfre and Pas. Tolossa were his supporters. but God who is in Heaven Knows avery thing wheat here it is divine will or human will.Daniel tries to destroy the DC churches even. He loves money and he tries to get from Baltimore church, Mennonite church .... plus next Christianity is with out any boundary but He and the pastors from Gonder are making boundary and so it is good to ask them too. Are they for Daniel or for God and His people.Other wise He is determined to destroy the church and be aware of him. It is He and His friends who are advisers who showed first sue the Body of Christ. but is this Scriptural? if it is you pastors who support him will get your rewards in the courts soon unless you repent this is unscriptural and the work of the Devil to Dis troy the body of Christ

it is very embarsing and shame to the church of christ.we need to learn to forgive others like our father thought us.not to sue pople to get 4.3 million.What is the motive of the Pastor?money or God.He need time to examine himself before the eye of God.This really put his ministry in Quesion. The Advisers must go to the Court too. Because they are the ones who engineered him to sue the Church,Their Dream was to get 4.3million in this time. But Look at the Shemageles all are educated and who earns a lot of money. why do they take the churches money. which God almighty hates, I said they must go to court because they started it not because it is scriptural.Where is Ato Zena who was With Daniel ?He is in Ethiopia married another young girl. look their life even those who are his members remember too set your self on the side of God not on the side of those harlot Babylonian people. Dear Saints I am Ashamed Because we don't have leaders who can say this is scriptural and this is unscripteral. who can show us thew way to do the right thing. as for me from now onwards I will not trust those ' Pastors" except the true Shepperd Jesus.Shame on us.Those big "Men" or "Pastors" are not enough to handle this problem. I don't know if it comes to you who is your lawyer. because lawyers are better than " Pastors".This Shame is on the whole Ethiopian Community specially on the protestant group. If they want to continue the Sue they will be charged more mony. I wonder about the people who are with him and paying their money for their lawyers because he bewitched them. please people leave him alone. you tried to get rich in short way but you cant eat that million. and fear God. Enough is enough.
