Meskelu GetaSalaam/Peace to all.
Yes of course those who reconciled are rightous before God(Sermon on the mountain). This type of reconciliation is a model for other conflicting church bodies. But what about those belivers offended and some left the church?Who is going to be responsible or make anapology for that decption that Ethinic politics was the motive behind all this mess at Mekane Yesus? Are some people really honest about the reconcilliation that some politcians observed it all happens as the result of the decomposition of OLF whose core members like Lencho or Negasso and others are children of Wolga Mekane Yesus pastors. What about the conflict of power between West Wolega and Southern in the church that is the real problem in power struggle at the church.
What about the centralized property ownership demanded by the Main Mekaneyyesus office aginst the contemporary chuch autonomus right. How could we belive this reconcilliation is genuine & free from politcal advantage??
We pray that God shos us His will and we discern the nature of this reconcilliation!

ShalomI applaud the coming together of the two assemblies of the churh in ethiopia.

Having been away from that land for a number of years now, I have not been aware that division existed in the first place. It's like waking up to see the world!. I only came across this news article, while searching for news about ethiopia, and I was saddened about the occurence of division and the length of time it took to come back together.

However I now rejoice because churches have come together.
An article contributor named "Meskelu" wrote above, questioning the truth of the unity on how to believe, which he wrote with some tone of resentment.
I would say to you, Meskelu my friend that belief doesn't have
have any formula, just believe and accept in good faith what the Lord has done in the church in ethiopian, and praise God for that.
And to the church in ethiopia, I would like to say keep your eyes focused on the Lord Jesus Christ, a christian is not immune from facing problems in this world, and there might be a 101 reasons why problems happen. Satan is the enemy of Jesus, and the enemy of church.
Wisdom and maturity is in being alert about Satan's schemes, in resolving any problem without any blame on any person, for the purpose of reconciling everyone and bringing healing to everyone, and in letting Jesus be glorified.
So my sisters and brothers in Jesus in ethiopia, celebrate your diversity, linguistic or cultural, they are not problems in themselves but blessings to be celebrated.
The child of God must take every opportunity to present the liberating Gospel of Jesus in all languages. So linguistic diversity is an opportunity, not a problem.

Celebrate your diversity, fix your eyes on Jesus, love one another as you are, just as God loved the whole humanity without any precondition, or selection, guard against Satan- the enemy of Jesus, and enjoy God!
Move on and enjoy God!
love,peace and hope!

God bless you all.
