DC Event Summary:
DC event was held at the International Ethiopian Evangelical Church on March 18-20, 2010. pastor (Dr.)Assayehegn Berhe exposed and taught characters of various types of leaders and discussions were held on how to become a better minister and leader. Evangelist (Dr.) Gebru Woldu dealt with Characters of a believer and discussions were also held on how to become a matured believer. Pastor (Dr.) Emanuel Haile was amazing in his summaries and guidance he provided for the whole Event (I can't thank you enough). Blene was there to bring EvaSUE's potential and legacy, challenges and current opportunities to all the participants and leaders. Discussion moments with her were eye opening. Seasoned worship songs from Pastor Abitew and DC Youth worship leaders set the tone for the event and led all of us to amazing teachable moments. We all were thrilled to have Singer Tekeste and Musician Yabets, and boy they really take you to a level where you just open your arms and heart andjust take what the Holy Spirit has for you. Abundant Blessings to you two!!!
The Board would like to acknowledge the generosity of IEEC DC congregation and the servant leadership of the Church leaders, specifically, of Senior Pastor Hanfre Aligaz. EvaSUE was invited to the Podium on Sunday March 21 Second Service to share our vision and Pastor Hanfre invited all members to partner and INVEST in EvaSUE for Long term Return in ministry (Wisely said!), and all members generously gave to EvaSUE. We are just speachless on how the Lord favored EvaSUE in the eyes of all church leaders.
We also wouldlike to thank all DC and Virginia Area Churches for all your support and encouragements.
The Congregation of Covenant Gospel Church made a bake sale and raised an amount of money to support EvaSUE!!! We all were humbled when we reciveve the love gift the church gave EvaSUE from the hands of Pastor Tesfaye haile (Tesfish Thank you!!!!).
We also would like to thank Amanuel Ethiopian Evangelical Church of Arilington, VA for giving us the opportunity to share our vision to the congregation. we are looking forward to a long term partnership with the church.
The DC area EvaSUE ALUMNI team was one great team!!! What a team work folks!!! You made EvaSUE look like EvaSUE at its best!!!! Your dedication and relentless effort to get all the details of the event worked out amazingly well. Oh Lord, you have great people!!! I am not going to list all the things you have done as they are clearly visible for the Lord who rewards you with his blessings abundantly. The Board just would like to say THANK YOU!!!
Between these two events, we have raised $10K+, and still counting the pledged amount, for EvaSUE. Isn't this great or what????????Yes it is!!!!!!!!

Thank you for everything you are doing to promote EvaSUE's causes.
Yes, it was a great moment to see the word of God revealed with power. What is even greater is having some time after the teachings to reflect, discuss and challenge each other, all intended to learn and grow.
What is best is having matured leaders among us and taking some mentoring sessions with them after listening to their teachings. It sure is once again a way to grow spiritually as a matured believer and servant leader!
It was exciting to meet long seen and heard campus brothers and sisters whom we haven't sean each other for a long time. Just a hug and brief chat goes a long way.
I wish we have some retreat times as we used to have back home!
Thank you for praying and supporting EvSUE. There are times that EvaSUE has been going through persecution, dividion, etc...now is the time for expansion!
You are invited to be partners!
In Him,

We praise Lord for the ministry of EVASU that I personally benefited a lot as a student that was a way for my repentance when I was baccksliden.Where is Sisay now? He was a wodeful brother at the time of Derg working hard to evangelize students by the true fellowship of all denominations.Sisay was giving respect to Mekaneyesus when the new era began and remined under Mekaneyesus until the ful freedom of belief granted by the EPRDF.Sisay was also instrument to witness to many at EPHARMYCOR where he worked in his profession.Of course Belene did god but I was out of school when she took office and I appreciate her to remain devout chrstian after the death of her husband Beyene at plane acident.Where is Mesay?? Mentewab and others who work hard for the Evasu then?? We love and respect you brothers and sisters for all your work in the kingdom of God.
